High Speed 3D Processor
A 3D High Speed processor capable of routing the most vivid and accurate Deep Colour content, 7.1 multichannel audio and key HDMI version 1.4 features such as 3D over HDMI at 1080p to both displays without a single pixel lost.
IR over HDMI source control
Included with the matrix is an 'IR over HDMI' system, similar to a magic eye kit that enables you to retain control over source functions (such as pause, rewind etc) at both TV locations, even when the Matrix and source devices are in another room out of sight of the remote control. The included IR over HDMI dongle has an IR 'eye' Sensor/Receiver cable that ‘sees’ the remote control signals and sends them back down the HDMI cable to the Matrix to be ‘blasted’ at the source. This feature sets our Matrix apart from less user-friendly rivals.
Audio
HDMI ports are only a recent addition to surround sound systems. The HKM42 has separate digital and analogue audio output connections so the HDMI audio channel can be enjoyed via older sound systems also. (Both video and audio remain on both HDMI outputs)
QuickSwitch
Switching times are as close to instant as you can get. An internal NVRAM memory stores HDCP and EDID handshaking data for faster authentication negotiations than rival solutions.

*To ensure 3-D Blu-ray content is routed via the Matrix, High Speed HDMI cables must be used and any connected non-3-D compatible display must not be ‘active’ (i.e. powered off or in standby mode). The 3-D source player must not be able to ‘see’ a 2D only display connected to the Matrix.
